I was just there last week, and it was a total mess, on the websites the photos look amazing, being there is another story. There was nothing special about Budvah, I say in about the 10 years the socialistic look will be gone. The people know nothing about tourism and how to treat a tourist, also their standards of hotels are low by comparison to western Europe and the US. This is not a lovely vacation or a learning experience and its also not cheap, in fact they learned to charge the high rates and didn't bother to learn guest services, the people are naturally rude. The Sveti Stefan Hotel has an excellent location but the rooms are a mess and the bathrooms had mold, also if you have any disabilities its not for you as its loaded with steps where ever you walk. The food was not memorable either, they still offer peas and carrots out of a can. This is a NO NO for now, sorry folks. I should have listend to Ellen at nycmove.com.
