During the first Eight Months of this year, 422,000 Tourists Registered at Budva’s Riviera: Director of Budva’s Tourist Organization, Jelena Radjenovic says that out of the total number of guests during the first eight months 393,648 came from abroad, which is by one fifth more than during the same period last year. Most numerous groups of tourists have come from Serbia. Their total number has reached 100,000 or by 30 percent more than during the reference period in 2007. Genuine “boom” took place with German market, which has sent 10,044 guests to Budva, which is by 69 percent more than during the same period last year.

Just like during the last year, when the biggest portion of guests in Budva have arrived from Russia and more than traditionally loyal tourists from Serbia, metropolis of tourism hosted 77,204 guests from the cradle of Socialism, which is by one fourth more than it has been the case during 2007.

According to this data, almost one half of the total number of foreign guests at Budva’s Riviera this year had come from Serbia and Russia.

Director of Budva’s Tourist Organization, Jelena Radjenovic said that out of the total number of guests during the first eight months 393,648 came from abroad, which is by one fifth more than during the same period last year.

“We had a bit more than 28,000 guests from Montenegro, which is by 14 percent more than during last year. During the first eight months, we have recorded 2,7 million overnight stays, which is by 11 percent more than during last year. Foreign guests have contributed to this figure with 2,5 million, while domestic guest stayed 141,000 times overnight”, Radjenovic has emphasized.

Genuine “boom” took place with German market, which has sent 10,044 guests to Budva, which is by 69 percent more than during the same period last year.

Extremely good figures in terms of number of visitors had to do with Ukrainian market, which has sent 18,900 guests to Budva, or almost three times more than during 2007.

This year, Budva has also been attractive for tourists from Austrian and Belgian markets, with registered 10,988 and 4,598 guests, which is by 11 or 20 percent more than it has been the case during the reference period last year.

Number of guests from Hungary remained the same, which means that 14,569 Hungarian tourists have stayed in Budva during this season.

Number of Finns Cut By Half

Total of 17,083 guests or less by one quarter in comparison to last years’ figure have arrived from Italy to Budva.

Number of guests from England totaled at 5,613, or by seven percent less. Equal drop has been recorded with Czech tourists. There were 9,710 registered guests in Budva from this country.

Drop has also been recorded at Slovenian market, which has sent 6,041 guests, or by 13 percent less than in 2007.

In comparison to last year, drop in the number of guest has also been recorded in terms of visitors from France. 11,680 tourists from this country have stayed in Budva.

Number of guests from Finland has dropped for whole 65 percent, as 766 tourists from this country have been registered.

Significant drop also occurred with tourists from Albania, which has been sending increasing number of guests during the past year. During the first eight months, 8,352 guests from Albania have been registered in Budva, which is by 32 percent less than in 2007.
