Group of French tour operators visiting Montenegro: Prominent French travel agents described Montenegro as “challenging, adrenaline and adventure holiday destination full of surprises”. To begin with, 400 high rollers from France booked their holiday in Montenegro already. A piece of advice "host fewer guests and make more profit"
Budva – The group of French tour operators is interested in bringing their clients, primarily employees of the leading companies in France, to Montenegro since it is a challenging, adrenaline and adventure holiday destination full of surprises – it is announced after the tour around the Montenegrin coast was over.
In cooperation with the Montenegrin businessman Milo Sabotic, French tourist agents decided to visit Montenegro, and they made a round of nearly all tourist settlements from Budva to Ulcinj in two days and, according to them, they are pleased with what they have seen.
The General Manager of the French “Crossworld” agency- Jilali Najib, naturalized French citizen of Moroccan origin, says that Montenegro reminds him of Morocco before the mass tourism expansion.
-Our offer includes holiday destinations in the Mediterranean, such as Malta, Greece, Turkey. On the basis of arrangements made with our agency, five thousand tourists visit Morocco, 800 tourists visit Malta, 500 visits Croatia and 400 tourists visit Greece annually. And our clients are high rollers. I convinced myself today in all nice stories that I have heard of Montenegro. First 400 tourists have already made holiday reservations for Montenegro through our agency, and you are well aware that a satisfied guest brings at least five new passengers more. Therefore, we expect around two thousand tourists to book their holiday for this destination by the end of the year- Najib says and adds that according to what he saw in these two days, Montenegro will be highly competitive to other destinations on the Adriatic coast.
- Europeans are always in quest for new markets, new challenges. My suggestion is: be professional so that these guests go home satisfied. I have been involved in tourism for three decades now and Montenegro reminded me of Morocco in the period when it opened its door to tourism, not mass but elite tourism. It is better to host fewer guests and make more profit than to be a mass tourism destination. In order to have more guests, you have to have necessary infrastructure which would enable guest to tour the country in a short time and since Montenegro is small - traveling through it shouldn’t take too long. No matter in which European metropolis one happens to be it would take him no more than two hours to reach Montenegro, which is important in all aspects of tourism- Najib says.
Nordin Kabas, his partner from the travel agency “Egypt Tour”, estimates that Montenegro should extend the tourism season over the whole year.
- This is the case with Malta, Cyprus, Spain… Today, only pensioners have money for travelling and thus they are the most eagerly sought clientele on tourism markets worldwide – Kabas remarked.
Georges Coshua, the head of the Sport & Recreation Committee within the “Total” Corporation which is high-rated company by the stock market in France, assessed that Montenegro is a favourable destination for development of outdoor activity holidays.
- I have just returned from Dubrovnik with a group of 50 people who are all marathon fans and we run about 170 kilometers during seven days. I came here to see for myself what Montenegro is like and I dare say that I am delighted. Being a man of influence, I will certainly recommend Montenegro to our clients. “Total” numbers 7.500 families which means around 35.000 people who enjoy exactly this kind of holiday – Coshua said.
