Budva – The second son of Libyan President Muammar al-Gaddafi, Saif al-Islam Gaddafi throw the most glamorous party ever seen before in the entire Adriatic and celebrated his 37th birthday surrounded by magnates in Splendid hotel in Becici.
Even though nobody from the hotel wanted to disclose any information on what the preparations are being made for or what kind of happening is being organized, thus keeping it all in strict confidence, numerous yachts moored at sea off the hotel beach and grand fireworks at midnight clearly indicated that there was a gala party at Splendid after all.
Saif is no stranger to organizing this kind of parties, and as a matter of fact he threw a similar party in Monaco last year and one in Saint Tropez the year before.
As Daily “Vijesti” found out from unofficial sources, after choosing Splendid in Montenegro to be the party venue, he asked for an utter discretion and privacy of his guests not wishing to be disturbed by anyone.
According to the first scenario, Saif intended to organize a party at “Black Diamond”, owned by the famous fashion TV mogul Michel Adam who announced a month ago that this luxury yacht will sail in the bay of Budva, but soon after he changed his mind and decided to chaperone the guests at Splendid.
An impressive guest list included Albert II, Prince of Monaco, billionaires Oleg Derispaska and Peter Munk, Polish billionaire Kovalchuk, uncrowned King of Steel – Mittal, Austrian investor Martin Schlaff, representatives of Libyan government and high officials from other countries and good many others whose names were impossible to get.
Allegedly, based on information off-the-record, Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic was one of his invitees.
The immensity of the event is supported by the fact that two large yachts, 72m and 63m long, were moored in the vicinity of Splendid and merely a dozen “Lear Jets” with rich guests aboard landed on airport in Tivat on Thursday. The photograph holding up the story was submitted to Daily “Vijesti” and it was taken at the airport where jets were parked on new extended platform.
Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, a painter who runs charity fund, has intervened in a number of negotiations on releasing hostages kidnapped by Islamic militants, particularly in the Philippines. He established the Libyan National Association for Drugs and Narcotics Control.
Saif graduated from London School of Economics and he is one of the new influential Arabian leaders. While his father incurred the enmity of the whole world, primarily USA, against himself and his country, Saifu managed to sail the waters of business and entertainment without any political and geographical boundaries.
