“Montenegro Stars Hotels Group” Celebrates its’ Fifth Anniversary: co-owner of the company, Zarko Radulovic emphasized that its’ hotels - “Splendid”, Montenegro” and “Blue Star” – have set brand new standards in Montenegrin hotel business. Radulovic announced company’s plans to build new hotels on the coast, but also conquer the north of Montenegro.

Budva – “Company ‘Montenegro Stars Hotels Group’ plans to build new hotels on the coast, but also conquer the north of Montenegro. By doing this, it plans to become a forerunner in the hotel business in this part of the Adriatic”, co-owner of this company’s chain of hotels, Zarko Radulovic stated, on the occasion of the celebration of company’s fifth anniversary.

Radulovic pointed out that, since company’s foundation five years ago, its’ hotels - “Splendid”, Montenegro” and “Blue Star” – have succeeded in setting brand new standards in Montenegrin hotel business.

Radulovic emphasized that all employees did their best and they worked as hard as they possibly could and announced: “Experience from these five years, which we have gathered by working at the projects with these three hotels, provides us, I think, with a great opportunity to work even better and even more.

At the moment, ‘Splendid’ is the only five-star hotel of this size. We shall do our best to build another ‘Splendid’ as soon as possible. Or, a hotel that will be even better than this one.

We have five challenging years behind us, years that have changed first and foremost us, and then everything else.

I have realized how much we have all grown during these past five years, how much we have learned, how many mistakes we have corrected and how many things we have learned to understand.

All in all, this has been time of hardship and time of joy. It is nice to see results and these wonderful people who have learned a lot, who have become experts who can now work in any hotel across the globe.

These are the people from Montenegro. We have creative and capable people who have the knowledge and who can achieve what is considered as top-level in the world”, Radulovic said.

He announced that this company would build its’ fourth hotel by the summer of 2010.

“We are ready for our fourth hotel, we only need to meet certain additional preconditions.

At the beginning of summer 2010, we shall have an opportunity to meet here, like we did now, and celebrate the opening of this fourth hotel”, Radulovic promised.

“We plan to expand our hotel business also to the north of Montenegro. We just need adequate infrastructure. Now, that we have built this base, we must make sure it stands firmly, and then proceed in the direction of north”, co-owner of “Montenegro Stars Hotels Group”, Zarko Radulovic said.

Radulovic did not hide his satisfaction with the success of summer season this year and added that not a single bad was free at “Splendid”, which will be the case till 20 August.

“Splendid is constantly overbooked and this tendency will continue in September. We have sold majority of arrangements for 2009, while those for 2010 are already being sold. This is the evidence that this type of hotel always has its’ clientele. This is the recipe for Montenegro to move on”, Radulovic said.

Pleasant cocktail atmosphere and rich entertainment program which marked 5-year-anicersary of “Montenegro Stars” had been enjoyed by numerous invitees from the cultural, public and political scene in Montenegro.

Beside the Speaker of the Parliament, Ranko Krikokapic, Mayor Miomir Mugosa, who has been escorted by television presenter, Ljiljana Blagojevic, party has also been attended by Minister of Tourism and Culture, Predrag Nenezic and Branislav Micunovic, actors Branimir Popovic and Mima Karadzic, Serbian TV star, Olivera Kovacevic, show-business manager, Raka Maric.

The surprise of the evening had been the appearance of a part of Montenegrin golden water polo team, headed by their coach, Petar Porobic and players Veljko Uskokovic, Damjan Danilovic and Nikola Jankovic.

Stars Shining…

Explaining how the company got its’ name, Radulovic thought back to 14 July 2003, when he spent the evening in a company of a group of young people in Kotor.

“We were supposed to agree upon how we should name this company. There were many ideas and my friend Goca said it should be called “Montenegro Stars”. I am not sure why I wondered at that moment if we could really reach those stars. It seemed pretentious – Montenegro Stars. 10 minutes later, after several more proposals, we went back to that one – Montenegro Stars.

And, that is the name we presented next day, when we registered the company in Podgorica’s Court of Commerce: Montenegro’s hotel company “Montenegro Stars Group”, Radulovic said.

Culture and Entertainment Saved for the End

Guests were entertained by “Kreativ band” from Belgrade and City Music Orchestras from Budva and Kotor.

After this, audience also saw a movie about company’s five years’ history, told by its’ employees.

Apart from famous Montenegrin singers, Knez and Milena Vucic, technical director of the hotel, who happens to be a talented musician, Drazen Pavlic also performed.

At the very end, guests enjoyed mini-concerts by one-time front man of Zagreb’s band “Parni valjak”, Aki Rahimovski and Bosnian folk singer, Haris Dzinovic.
