Good Quality of Sea Water on Montenegrin Coastline: sea water on Montenegrin coast is clean and poses necessary quality characteristics which make it suitable for swimming and recreation, fourth analysis of the water quality conducted on 1 and 2 August has shown. Second class of water quality confirmed at 23 locations.

From the total number of analyzed locations, sea water at 61 location bears the mark ‘first class’, while 23 remaining locations have second class quality”, the statement from the Public Enterprise “Morsko Dobro” reads.
The monitoring for the needs of this public enterprise is conducted by Republic’s Hydrometerological Institute.
According to the statement containing the data which had been processed by the head of Service for Sustainable Development, Aleksandra Ivanovic and signed by Director of “Morsko dobro”, Rajko Barovic, the first class quality in Budva’s Riviera had been confirmed at the following beaches: eastern and western side of Sveti Stefan, Przno, Kamenovo, hotel beaches of “The Queen of Montenegro”, MOC and “Belvi”, as well as the beaches at “Park” hotel, Grdjevica and beach “Blue Magic” at Slovenska plaza.
Also, at Ricardova glava beach, Mogren I and former nudist beach of "S and I Beach Life". First quality of water had also been confirmed at "Escallara" and "Blue Beach" at Jaz.
“In Ulcinj area, the best quality of water had been confirmed at sections of Velika plaza known as “Kitesfera”, “Evropa beach”, “Tropicana”, “Safari”, “Miami” and “Tony Grill”, as well as Borova suma and Mala plaza.
At Bar’s Riviera, top-class of sea water quality has been confirmed at “Paradizo” beach in Utjeha, “Topolica” beach, “Zukotrlica”, “Crvena plaza” and Sutomore’s “Zlatna obala.”
In the region of Kotor, first class of water had been recorded at the localities at Trsteno, Stoliv, Markov rt, in front of "Fjord" hotel, at beach “Malibu" at Dobrota, at Sveti Matija, Sveti Stasije, in Orahovac, as well as in Perast. Also, at the beach of hotel "Teuta" in Risan and Morinje beach”, the statement reads.
“In Tivat area, the best quality of sea water had been found at the beach of "Plavi horizonti", Oblatno, Krasici, Solil, Kalimanj, Kalardovo, as well as at the docks at Seljanovo and Opatovo.
In the area of Herceg Novi, the best water quality has been recorded at Kamenari beach, as at the hotel beach “Delfin” in Bijela, beaches in Baosici, town beach at Meljine, as well as at beaches of “Vila Perla”, “Copas”. Also, at Mirista, Dobrec and beaches of "Porto" and "Cuba Libre” in Zanjic bay”, the analysis continues.
Second Class of Water Noted at 23 Locations
Second class of sea water quality has been noted at Ada Bojana, at the confluence of Porta Milena channel, as well as at Velika plaza’s “Copacabana” beach.
“In the region of Bar, second class of sea water has been noted at Veliki pijesak, at Canj beach, as well as Sutomore’s beaches at “Tri duda” and “Centar.”
At Budva’s Riviera, second class of sea water has been confirmed at beaches Buljarice, Lucice, Petrovac, Rafailovici, as well as Becici’s Sveti Toma.
Same quality of water has also been recorded at Prcanj, as well as Tivat’s beaches at Kalimanj and hotel “Palma.”
In Herceg Novi area, second class of water has been confirmed in Kumbor, Zelenika, Corovica beach, as well as at the “Yachting Club”, beach of RVI Institute, at villa “Galeb” and at “Blatna plaza” in Igalo, as well as in front of “Riviera Resort” hotel in Njivice”, the statement reads.
Sanitary quality of beaches is based on 12 physical and chemical parameters measured in the samples of the sea water.
Next analysis will be conducted between 15 and 20 August, while the results would be made public one week after the analysis.
