Budva, the city known for its’ spectacular entertainment and best fun one can have in Montenegro, deserves the visit of this icon”, organizers say.
Budva – Budva is getting ready to greet world’s biggest pop-star, Madonna, who will perform on 25 September at the non-urbanized beach of Jaz. Judging by the 20,000 tickets which had already been sold, concert-area will be too small to take all the fans of this pop-icon.
In the situation where Madonna agreed to sign a special contract, stipulating that she would will perform only in Montenegro and no where else in the region of South Eastern Europe, obligations for the organizers are even more demanding.
Metropolis of Montenegrin tourism should cease this opportunity to prove it is the leading concert center in the Adriatic, following last year’s performance of the legendary Rolling Stones, upcoming concert of Lenny Krawitz and performance of the leading personality of world show-business, Madonna.
Organizers of this spectacle at Budva’s Tourist Organization, City of Budva, National Tourist Organization, with assistance of “Prva banka” bank. Event is produced by “Live Nation global touring& Komuna& Patent LTD.”
Promotional campaign is underway, with press conferences taking place in all of the metropolises in the Republics of former Yugoslavia.
After very successful promotions in Belgrade, Zagreb and Sarajevo, director of Tourist Organization of Budva, Jelena Radjenovic, alongside Jelena Paovic representing the National tourist Organization and Drasko Vucinic of “Prva banka Crne Gore”, held a press conference in Ljubljana last week.
According to Paovic, numerous representatives of the media have received information about the tourist offer of Montenegro and Budva, as well as the attractive aspects which distinguish Montenegro as a particularly attractive destination.
“Information about the preparation for Madonna’s concert have drawn attention of the media, including the technical and organizational details, price of tickets and tourist arrangements for this period, as well as the possibilities to purchase these tickets.
Journalists were most interested to find out why Madonna choose Montenegro as one of 11 countries in which she will perform as a part of “Sticky &Sweet” tour, which is, most certainly, evidence of the positive image and good position of Montenegro and Budva at world’s tourist market”, Paovic stated.
While adding that the upcoming concert would significantly improve the positioning of Budva and Montenegro as an elite tourist destination, prolongation of the tourist season and increase of revenues, director of Budva’s Tourist Organization, Jelena Radjenovic explained that Madonna has, once again, joined creative forces with Jimmy King at her “Sticky and Sweet” tour.
She added that she expected that sale of this tour would exceed success achieved by her previous “Confessions” tour, also in terms of production, visual concept, technical achievements, singing, dancing and non-stop entertainment.
Special stage will be constructed for Madonna, her band and fascinating dancers, who will provide audience with an unforgettable experience.
Other performers at “Sticky and Sweet” tour include guest-DJs and Swedish pop-star, Robin.
Madonna hinted to her fans what they can expect from S&S tour at her promotional gigs in New York, Paris and in Great Britain, which have been commented rather positively by both her fans and the media.
Madonna’s album, “Hard Candy”, which reached No1 position at charts in 37 countries, still holds its’ presence at Billboard’s European Charts. First single – “Four Minutes” has topped Billboard’s chart. In the US, “Hard Candy” has steadily been among top-10 albums, from the moment it has been released”, Radjenovic said.
She added that a total of 66,000 tickets have been released for the concert, 58,000 parterre tickets at the price of Euro 35, 5,000 tickets beside the stage for the price of Euro 70 and 2,500 tickets for lounges.
Image of Budva, as a destination which can satisfy different tastes, is, most certainly, supported by numerous festivals and events during the tourist season, which are organized by Budva’s Tourist Organization (BTO).
Experience which BTO has in organizing spectacular events has been confirmed last year, with the organization of concert of the “Rolling Stones.” Excellent atmosphere continued in 2008, with the organization of the world-famous race of speed boats “”CLASS ONE MONTENEGRIN GRAND PRIX 2008.”
“Summer heat continues with the concert of this pop-diva. Madonna has included Budva to be a part of her “Sticky and Sweet” tour. With 16 concerts, she launches a “crazy party” all across the European continent.
Budva, the city known for its’ spectacular entertainment and best fun one can have in Montenegro, deserves the visit of this icon.
This will also be her only concert in the region. After Nice, Berlin, Amsterdam, Rome, London and Paris, Madonna will perform at Jaz beach on 25 September. After Budva, Madonna leaves for Athens, where she ends the European part of her tour”, Radjenovic has concluded.
18 Trucks and Two Planes for the Stage
In words of Radjenovic, technical assistance for the upcoming spectacle is expected to arrive from Belgrade to Budva at the beginning of September.
“The evidence to the claim that we are talking about a very demanding project when it comes to aspects of its’ technical organization and logistics is the fact it will take 18 trucks and two planes to transport the stage.
Madonna’s organizing team has more than 250 people, who will start arriving to Budva at the beginning of September.
There will be 8,000 parking places, 1,000 of which are reserved for VIP vehicles”, Radjenovic has announced.
