Visit-Montenego.com: Ready to Invest to Village Tourism

Berane – Ambassador of Russian Federation, Jakov Gerasimov visited Municipality of Andrijevica yesterday and met with the highest representatives of the local authorities and president of the Municipality, Veselin Bakic.

Gerasimov has been acquainted with social and political situation in Andrijevica, with the special emphasis to economy, which has been marked as “difficult.”

Gerasimov informed his hosts that Russia has strong interest to invest capital to the central part of Montenegro and its’ coastline, but added that it did not mean that Municipalities on the north of the country were any less interesting for Russians.

Ambassador announced there was interest of certain Russian regions and their private capital to invest in the north of the country, which was most interesting as an area with potential for agricultural development and village tourism.

Beside that, he did not exclude the readiness to assist development of education system in this city, through the provision of computers and literature, adding that Russia would participate in reconstruction of memorial at Knjazevac near Andrijevica, dedicated for freedom-fighters killed between 1941 and 1945. Three Russian patriots and anti-fascists who have been killed during WWII have also been buried at this site.

After his stay in Andrijevica, Gerasimov also visited Berane, where he met with Vuk Golubovic, Mayor of this Municipality, with whom he discussed about same or similar topics.

At the moment, Berane has signed a friendship charter with Russian Konstromska region, with which it has established perfect relationship in all fields of cooperation.
