A wave of new energy

Podgorica – Four-day spectacle of electronic music called “Refresh Festival” will be held from 9th to 12 of August in Kotor discothèque “Maximus”. As “Vijesti” have found out exclusively as the greatest stars there will be Umek, Ian Pooley, Lotti, and Robert Owens and the names of other performers will be given later.

Umek, the most famous Slovenian D.J. and a producer will open the festival on the 9th of August. His carrier is in constant upraise since 2000, and he has been performing all over Europe, America, Australia, and Asia along with the most famous world D.J’s. he has been publishing his work for brands ZET, “Absence”, “XS”, “Missile”, “Expire”, “Planet Rhythm”, “Comunique”, “Potential”, “Spiel – Zeug”, “Black Nation”, “Tortured Records”, and of course for his own to labels “Consumer Recreation”, and “Recycled Loops”.

German Ian Pooley who at the end of last year had an onset in Montenegro is one of the most appreciated producers of dance music, maestro of deep disco sound. He dedicated the last year to production of his new album “Souvenirs” on which he worked with many usicians from all over the world. Known by editions “The Times” (1996, Force Inc.), Meridian (1998, V2), and Since Then (2000, V2) he has made remixes for the names such as “Dee – Lite”, “The Cardigans”, “Daft Punk”, Carl Cox, Bob Sinclair, D.J. Hell, Yello, Modjo… and he is recognizable by techno house sets.

Lottie has deserved the title of sensation of te British electro sound because of the winning combination of attractive appearance and musical talent. In her sets you can hear mostly music from deep and tribal sound, through tech – house up to American disco and funky rhythms.

Veteran of the Chicago house scene Rober Owens has become popular in 1980’s. He has published albums “Rhythms in Me (4th & Broadway, 1990), and “Love Will Find Its Way: The Best of Robert Owens” (Unisex, 2002) and a great number of singles.

- A wave of new energy and refreshment will last for four days in a technically most equipped discothèque in this part of Europe. Your senses will be shaken up by the audio – visual sensations with the most demanded world D.J. stars and together with 5.000 visitors you will have entirely new experiences. Equipped with high tech sound system, light effects, lasers, and entirely air – conditioned this place can receive more than 5.000 people who, completely isolated from the outer world, can have fun until early in the morning, choosing the music style which suites them, on one of the stages – announce the organizers.

The names of other performers and other information about this festival are expected soon and beside “Vijesti” Internet portal wrhunski.com will inform you about them.

SEVERAL MORE NAMES

“Vijesti” found out the names of few other performers booked for this event, so on the first night, beside the Slovenian star Umek, A.P. from Herceg Novi will have his set, and a day later British electro-house D.J, Ryan Shaw. For the third night of the festival, on August 11th, along with Ian Pooley, a Belgrade hip hoper D.J. Prema has been engaged, and on the last night beside the Split girl Iva Starkova behind the mix desk will be a Brit Jonty Skrufff.

Deeface from the “Happy Novi Sad” crew will have its onset on three nights on 9th, 11th, and 12th of August.

Even though the names of the performers still haven’t been publicly published they have been booked and on their sites you can find the information that they will be performing on “Refresh Festival”.
