Spanish princesses are spending their summer vacation in Budva

17 Aug 2007 06:32 +0100

Budva – That Budva indeed has become a jet set summer resort, and that beside the world jet-set it is chosen as a favorite destination by members of European royal families was confirmed by the sudden arrival of princesses Cristina and Elena, daughters of Spanish king Juan Carlos. Spanish princesses came two nights ago with a private jet on Tivat airport from where they went to the luxurious hotel complex Iberostar Bellevue in Becici where they are staying.

Vijesti found out that the princesses came for their summer vacation with their families, and they will stay in Budva for at least 7 days. Sudden arrival of the princesses has thrilled many guests of the hotel who didn’t even dream that they will ever see the famous daughters with “royal blood”, of one of the oldest European dynasties.

Princesses have been accommodated in the penthouse suites of block C of the hotel Bellevue, and they decided to spend their summer vacation in Montenegro because Iberostar is a Spanish German enterprise which has its hotels all over the world, and the name Montenegro seemed interesting for them to research it. Famous by their adventurer spirit princess during these 7 days will have an active vacation beside the enjoying in the allures of the natural richness, and therefore for every day they have some interesting tour in order to meet Montenegro as better as possible.

Elena and Cristina will already today go on one of the tours, and they have in their offer the visit of Ostrog, Cetinje, Montenegrin coast, cruising over the coast, and the visit of Boka Kotorska…

As we found out princesses have their own guards so for the needs of the accommodation of royal company they have taken the entire last floor of the hotel.
- Princesses are behaving completely normal, and they have no special demands, very modest, with recognizable royal attitude for today they have ordered specialties from Njegusi, because they wish to taste the domestic cuisine, so for those needs we have provided all delicatessen from Njegusi – it was said for Vijesti from the hotel.

After the meal princesses took a rest with the children on the pool, under the surveillance of the guards, who were watching every step of the young royalty. Because of the safety of the royal descendants special security came with the princesses in order to prevent any possible incident, because Spain in the past years was the target of numerous attacks of terrorist groups.

Princesses are descendants of the dynasties Borbon that since 17000 almost intermittently ruled Spain. King Alfonso XIII was forced by those who were supporting Franco to leave Spain in 1931. The present king Juan Carlos Alfonso Victor Marua de Borbon y Borbon, the grandson of Alfonso XIII returned to Spain by the wish of his father in 1947 to get educated in order for him to get back on the throne in 1975. He married Greek princes Sofia and has three children with her. The oldest Elena was born in 1963, then princess Cristina in 1965, and their youngest child is prince Felipe, the future kind who was born in 1968.

King Juan Carlos I, queen Sofia, heir Felipe, and his sisters Elena and Chirstine are adorned in Spanish public, and they almost have never been attacked and disputed. The reason for that is mainly the authority which the monarchy had in political life of the country and the great role of Juan Carlos in the development of democracy after the death of dictator Francisco Franco in 1975.

After the bomb attack on Madrid railway station prince Felipe and his sisters Elena and Cristina were the first members of the royal family who ever took part in citizen protests which speaks enough about how adorned they are in their country.

Real name of princess Elena is Infanta Elena Marua Isabel Dominica de los Silos de Borbon y Grecia. She finished English at the University in Madrid, and she also studied in London. Her sister Cristina (Cristina Federica Victoria Antonia de la Santisima Trinidad de Borbon y Grecia, Hertogin van Palma de Mallorca) is the youngest daughter of Juan Carlos. She studied political sciences at Madrid University and at the University in New York with which she gained vocation in the area of international affairs. Their brother Felipe was in the center of attention in 2004 when he married a folk girl, famous journalist Leticia Ortiz with whom he ahs two daughters.

TOP NOTCH ATHLETES

Entire Spanish royal family is known to be sport oriented, so almost all of them were active professional athletes.
Queen Sofia was Olympic winner in Greece in sailing in 1972, her husband Juan Carlos was the winner in the same discipline in Munich in 1972. Older daughter Elena took part at the Olympics in Seoul in 1988 in horse riding, while their son Felipe carried the Spanish flag at the opening of the Olympics in Barcelona and took part in sailing, just like his younger sister Cristina who in 1996 during the Olympic games in Atlanta met handball player Ignacio Iñaki Urdangarin with whom she got married two years later. Numerous grandchildren, as the Spanish media say, are a guarantee that the dynasty Borbon will have Olympic contestants at the Olympic games in 2016 or in 2020.
