Pay the easy chair or leave the beach

Herceg Novi – On the beach of the hotel Max in Baosici last weekend only guests who paid the easy chair could stay. Those, who didn’t want to do that, were removed from the resort, despite the fact that according to regulations, the leasers are obliged to free half of the beach of all beach accessories.

This is a private beach – said the representative of the leaser for Vijesti. However Djordje Radojicic from Morsko dobro in Herceg Novi said that private beaches do not exist.
To expel someone from the beach is daring and rude. That is just as if someone has attacked you on the street and began beating you. That is not allowed – said Radojicic.
Because of such problems with the leasers, he added, citizens come to Morsko dobro even though Tourist inspection, and police in some extreme cases is in charge of that.

Starting from July 15th since when I am here we didn’t have a single denouncement against the leasers in Herceg Novi – said for Vijesti coordinator of the local Tourist inspection Svetlana Sljivancanin. At the beginning of the season and at the demand of Morsko dobro she added, main job of the inspection was to warn the leasers to, according to the rules on tourism and sea welfare they have to free half of the beach from their easy chairs.

Leasers have accepted this with a heavy heart, especially the owners of hotels. For them we have a different criteria – they have to provide space for easy chairs for the guests of their hotels but they also have to leave 20 % to 30% of free beach space. Those, who condition people to stay on their beach with charging of an easy chair have to pay the fine of 110 euros and they will be denounced to judge for the infringement – said Sljivancanin announcing the control in Baosici.
