Budva – Water supply in Budva, after two months of draught which hasn’t been remembered in the past two decades, has been normalized, thanks to the raindrops during the last few days. Even though according to the opinion of tourist employees in Budva it didn’t ever have such a good tourist season, one of the main reprimands was the lack of water, because some lodgments on higher positions, as well as flats in high buildings were without water for almost two months.
Though the Waterworks has invested several millions of euros in the water system in the period for preparation of the season, no one has expected that a very dry summer will bring the wells to a critical level.
Director of Wtareworks Djordje Pinjatic stressed that Budva this summer had the amount of secondary liters of water which they town spends during the winter.
The fact that Budva in the winter period spends between 180 and 190 secondary liters of water, and that until recently we had at our disposal 210 to 215 liters in a second speaks about the fact that we were very lose to the amount of water which we need during the winter period when Budva practically has no tourists – said Pinjatic.
He reminded that day and night they transported the water free of charge to all lodgments which were endangered.
Pinjatic said that Waterworks last year had at its disposal 410 secondary liters of water.
Last year was very good in hydrological sense, and we had 20.000 guests less than this summer – he said.
Beside the cisterns of the Waterworks of Budva water was brought to endangered lodgments by cisterns of the Firefightig service, and one vehicle of Fireworks waters from Bijelo Polje, as well as with private cisterns which with PE Waterworks Budva have made an arrangement.

With this project in which the Municipality has entered with the firm Montenegro osmosis which is more than 7 millions of euros worth, metropolis of tourism next summer will have at its disposal another 150 secondary liters of water with which they will arrange regular supply with water of all hotel capacities of Budva and Becici.
