Podgorica – The representatives of the Change Movement have invited Ministry of tourism yesterday to publicly announce who ad when will do the analysis based on which Montenegro will be visited by million of tourists, and without which all those records are a mean of deceit.
CM does not want to oppose the Ministry of tourism. We will try to check out the fabricated records, but we are demanding a clear expose – said Bigovic on a yesterday’s press conference, broadcasted MINA – BUSSINES.
The Ministry of tourism stated yesterday that the statistics shows that this year’s season was very successful.
- For the first nine months the number of overnight stays increased for over 12% compared to the last year, that is, over 5,66 millions of overnight stays were made. Of that number foreign tourists have made 2, 1 million or 36, 5% more and domestic 3, 58, or 1, 68% more than last year. The number of tourists has increased for over 14%, that is, it amounts 885.700, of which 343.700 are foreigners. All the previous indicators and the trend of growth of the overnight stays and incomes for the first nine months, which surpasses the projections of the World counsel for tourism, goes in favorite to the results which we will achieve to the end of the year, and which are relating to the number of about million of tourist and the income of about 300 millions of euros – it was said from the Ministry.
Te records about the number of tourists, as it is added, are received based on the all – inclusive and precise gathering of data, analysis and methodology of Monstat, and those are the official indicators of the number of tourists and overnight stays that were achieved.
-It is very important to point out that the number of tourists that were not officially registered was significantly bigger and the all – inclusive statistic grasp of the tourist turnover is one in a line of the future projects that we will accomplish, in order to have a better officially achieve.
