The apple of Princess Ksenija remains

The orchard of Hajdukovici has another apple that attracts the attention with its history and famousness. According to a legend, that kind was brought by princess Ksenija from Russia, and she planted it in the court park in Cetinje.

- One offspring of that apple was taken by a gardener and transplanted it on an apple in front of his house, and many years later an ethnographer from Bijelo Polje Petar Rudic also brought an offspring and transplanted it in his home in Ravna rijeka (FLAT RIVER). With the support of the Ministry of agriculture and Local Community “Crmnica” three years ago Rudic has planted Ksenija’s apple in Virpazar’s schoolyard which was built on the land which was owned by pPrincess Ksenija, which has a special symbolic. From that apple Rudic gave me an offspring and I have planted it in my Orchard – said Hajdukovic.
