Irish men are offering 5 millions and are promising 5 stars

Kotor – On an international tender, which was announced in July by the Ministry of finances, for the sales of the ex administrative building of Kotor’s “Jugooceanija” came only one offer which was submitted by the company “Kotor palace”DOO with its seat in Petrovac, whose founder is Louis Maguire from Dublin – it was confirmed yesterday for “Vijesti” from the Ministry of finances.
That firm has offered the price of 5, 15 millions of euros and the investment program for three years starting from the year 2007 in the amount of 34.230.000 euros, and it is planned that on that location a 5 start hotel should be built.
The administrative building of “Jugooceanija” has the surface of 2.628 m2 on four floors with the surrounding land (yard) of surface of 6.259 m2.
Commission for sales with the presence of the authorized representative of the bidder has opened the offer on the 20th of December, and in the next 15 days they will decide on the formal correctness of the tender, of which depends whether there will be any negotiations with the bidder – it was said from the Ministry of finances.
Maguire, who at that time was presented as the executive director if the Irish company “United Entertainment Partners Montenegro” with its seat in Petrovac, at the beginning of April 2005 signed a contract about the purchase of Kotor hotel “Fjord”, the ownership of HTE “Fjord” for 5, 5 millions of euros. Irish businessman have bought for millions of euros the other facility of HTE “Fjord” – recreational – tourist center”Urc – Slavija” in the center of Kotor, on the very sea shore. That devastated building was dilapidated and they are planning to construct a new exclusive hotel complex on that location.
The representatives of the Irish investors earlier have said for “Vijesti” that on the place of the present hotel “Fjord” which will be destroyed until the June 2008, they will build a new exclusive 5 star hotel in which they will invest about 70 millions of euros.
At that time they have also announced great investments in Kotor, worth 10 to 12 millions of euros, which first of all relate to the solving of infrastructural problems, as well as to the employment of 1.500 people.
