According to opinions of the experts, Kotor should develop itself in cultural tourism. During the summer the Old town of Kotor is visited by several thousands of domestic and foreign tourists. In the last two years, during the tourist season, interesting guest visits came from France. Tourists came by the boat "Jason" through Croatia, and they spend their day touring through the Old town or they travel by buses which is a part of the organized excursions, meeting the most interesting part of Montenegro in that way. The foreign tourists come to Kotor also by a Croatian boat "Dalmacija".

The most interesting are the trips to the Montenegrin capital, a historical and cultural nucleus of Montenegro – Cetinje. You also have trips to Ulcinj’s Velika plaza (Big beach), and Skadar Lake. Numerous agencies or individuals offer also visits to Montenegrin monasteries and churches all over Montenegro. A large number of agencies every day offer also the trips to other towns on the Montenegrin coast. We can single out visits to Budva, Bar, Herceg Novi, and Ulcinj. Also, you have interesting tourist arrangements which include a visit to Skadar Lake, famous monasteries and breaks for lunch in interesting restaurants or motels. Tourist agencies offer organized travels to Croatia, more specifically to ancient Dubrovnik. The information about the trips you can get in the Tourist organization of Kotor, tourist agencies or directly from the owners of the taxi vans and organizers of such travels. You can mostly find them along the city Riva or at the places which are intended for taxi drivers. Also very interesting are cruises with taxi barges or boats to Herceg Novi or Budva, which, if you decide to have such a cruise, is easy to organize from Kotor.
