Montenegro is an ecological state.This fact grants it one of the primary posts on the tourist maps. Montenegro friends have always traveled free throughout the country, but as Njegos once said to a foreign army commander: “for the enemy that road was much longer and harder”. If Europe is a mosaic of nations and cultures, then Montenegro is miniature Europe. Even today it offers its unreachable cozy nooks to the one who dares and to the one who is curious. In the land of poets and warriors a friend is always welcome, so to all the good intentioned visitors, Montenegro is awaiting with doors wide open, with wishes for you to meet it and that it may become and remain a part of your life.

Montnegro Independence - The question of Montenegro’s status in the relationship between Serbia and Montenegro was resolved with the referendum on the 21st of May 2006. The turnout was 86,5%, which is the biggest turnout ever in the history of Montenegro, with 55,5% of Montenegrins voting for independence. On the 28th of June 2006, Montenegro became the 192nd member of the United Nations.
