Main Information

DEPARTMENT FOR LEGAL AND GENERAL ACTIVITIES AND INSPECTION SUPERVISION

Prepares laws and other regulations in the area of tourism and catering, gives opinions on draft bills of federal laws and other regulations in tourism and catering industry, gives expert opinion regarding the enforcement of laws, other regulations and general acts; supervises the legality of acts and the operation of local self-government bodies and other subjects which have public authorities; conducts second instance administrative procedures and brings resolutions in administrative matters and administrative supervision. Financing tasks and activities: accounting (preparation of accounts for payment, travel warrants in the country and abroad, record-keeping, accounting for the joint inspection control, decisions for payment of material and other expenditures of the ministry, etc), preparation of a financial plan, equipment acquisition plan, drafting of the Ministry budget; administrative, technical and other activities regarding employment rights, office, library, archive, typist and other administrative and technical activities.

DEPARTMENT FOR ECONOMIC POLICY AND ADVERTISING

The activities are aimed at: the development of tourism, catering, tourism offer and demand, economic conditions in tourism, selective forms of tourism, systemic measures and current policy measures in tourism industry; connecting coastal and continental tourism; establishment of tourism zones; educational programs for the employees in tourism; valorisation of national parks from the tourist point of view and valorisation of its economic advantages; taking incentive measures for material base of tourism; monitoring investment flows, monitoring the supply of tourism areas and the structure of tourism consumption; record-keeping regarding the number of tourists, accommodation facilities, development projection of the accommodation facilities, tourism turnover and economic effects on this basis, on foreign currency inflow and business results basis; organising the activities of tourist information and advertising; restructuring the companies in this area.

DEPARTMENT FOR MARKETING, STANDARDISATION AND QUALITY

The activities regarding marketing in tourism and catering, follows tourism trends at the domestic and foreign market, cooperates with tourism associations from the country and international organisations and institutions; takes measures aimed at stimulating tourism turnover and informing potential investors about the capabilities of capital investment; it also deals with the introduction of quality system in accordance with international standards, categorisation and classification of tourism facilities, organisation of tourism branch offices abroad.
