All you need to know about Montenegro
Montenegro is for sure one of the most interesting spots in the world. Even though it covers solely around 14.000 km2 and it only has about 670.000 citizens, its contribution to the world cultural heritage is because of that even bigger. During the centuries of its rich history Montenegro has survived and remained one of the brightest examples of fight for freedom and for its own existence, and as a place of which people always spoke with respect. Christian, Muslim, Illyrian, Byzantine, Turkish, and Slav civilization here merged making Montenegro forever a crossroad of culture and history.
It lays between 41° 51 i 43° 30 of the north geographic width, and between 18° 26 i 20° 21 of east geographic length.
Montenegro is a south European and a Mediterranean country. It is one of the most southern European states and it comes out on the south part of the Adriatic Sea. On about 500km from Rome, 1.500 km from Paris, and Berlin, and about 2.000km west from Moscow, Montenegro lies on the Balkan peninsula in the very heart of Europe. more

Montenegro has its small and original festivals which attract the attention of lots of tourists. One of those festivals is the Festival of wine and bleak. This year the festival marked its jubilee, its 10th year. There were tens of thousands of citizens and tourists, who treated themselves with wine and bleak in Virpazar at the festival. With good company, music, fish, and wine,, people who came to the Festival of wine and bleak stayed in Virpazar until late in the evening, enjoying in everything that this small but extremely warm and welcoming place is offering to them. It is interesting to point out that the bleak (a kind of a lake fish) lives only in this lake and it should be cherished, in the same way as this tradition should be cherished, and that is why this festival has even greater importance. Dont miss the Festival of wine and bleak, because it is a great way to meet a part of the Montenegrin culture, and at the same time to relax and have great fun. Welcome!
