Tivat – The management of the maritime security of Montenegro has published a new pricelist of the compensation for the usage of maritime roads, which the owners of those vessels will pay from January 1st 2008. The yachts in the pricelist of the MMS have been divided into 4 groups, depending on the size, and time intervals in which they can pay the compensation for the usage of the maritime roads, in maritime jargon know as “lantern light” are seven days, a month, three, and six months, and a year.
For the smallest yachts from 7 to 12 meters the compensation will be 40 euros for 7 days, 95 euros for a month, 200 euros for three months, 280 euros for 6 months, and 400 euros for a year.
For the biggest yachts longer than 24 meters the “lantern light” from January 1st will be 420 euros for 7 days and up to 1.500 euros for a year
The money from the compensation is the income of the state budget and is being used for maintenance and for marking of maritime sailing roads.
