Belgrade – Tourist season in Montenegro last year was the best one in the last decade and a half, and the incomes compared to the last 2005 have been increased for 23, 5% – said yesterday in Belgrade Montenegrin minister for economic development Branimir Gvozdenovic.
According to his words, Montenegro this year expects the increase of the number of tourist and profit for 30% compared to the last year.
Gvozednovic on the forum of the Business possibilities for Canadians on the west Balkans said that in Montenegro the preparations for the privatization of Adriatic shipbuilding yard Bijela, Railroad Company, Bar Harbor, Airports of Montenegro and Montenegro airlines are in process, as well as of some other enterprises of wood and hotel industry.
He reminded that the direct foreign investments last year were 644 millions of euros, of which 252 millions were invested in banks and enterprises. Gvozdenovic as a specially attractive location for Greenfield investments stated Ada Bojana, for which the basic project predicts the investments of 500 millions of euros and joined investment of the state with a foreign partner.
– Attractive for investments are also locations of Buljarice, Jaz, Valdanos, and other locations on the coast but also Bjelasica, Zabljak, and Skadar Lake – said Gvozdenovic.
