Podgorica – The contracts about the lease of the hotels “Sveti Stefan”, “Milocer”, and “Kraljicina plaza” to Singapore company Aman resorts will be signed in Monday on the 15th of January
On the same day, as it was said for “Vijesti” from the Ministry of tourism, Aman will take over the management of the hotels which are the ownership of HTE Budva Riviera and of the state of Montenegro.
The year’s lease in the period of the reconstruction of the hotel, in which according to the contract at least 40 millions of euros will be invested, will be at least 1, 95 millions of euros. During the first year of business the lease of the three facilities will be 2, 1 million of euros. The lease will also be brought into accordance with the inflation rate, and depending on the success of business the lease will be bigger and bigger, because it is connected to the income.
Aman will also take over 220 employees of whom 186 of them are working in the popular “Saint” and “Miloocer”. These two hotels are the ownership of Budva Riviera, and “Kraljicina plaza” is the state’s ownership. “Kraljicina plaza” will be collapsed and on the same place they will build a new luxurious hotel. All the facilities will be returned under the management of Budva Riviera and the state after the expiration of the lease.
Budva Company will have sufficient income solely from the lease of “Sveti Stefan” and “Milocer” to give between 6, 7 gross salaries to its employees who will remain in the company.
– We are sure that it is an exquisite deal with which we have provided the presence of the most prestigious world brand in tourism in Montenegro. The image and the structure of the guests of Aman resorts is of great importance for the further development of tourism in the goal of creation of sustainable high quality tourist destination in world scales – it was said from the Ministry of tourism.
In the Ministry they think that the financial aspect of the arrangement is very favorable. Stating the biggest price for the lease which will be brought into accordance with the inflation rate and incomes, as well as the predicted investments, from the Ministry of tourism they claim that the “present net value of incomes of Montenegro will be about 108 millions of euros, and the net value of the leaser about 112 millions”.
– On this amount we should add all the taxes and non board consumption which they will make – they say in the Ministry, with the note that the rights of all 220 employees in the hotels will be completely protected. Budva Riviera is entering another international arrangement, and that is with the Austrian investment group Soravia. With Soravia they will invest together in the hotel “Slovenska plaza”, and on the land of Budva Riviera on the coast they will build a new exclusive hotel.
Budva Riviera beside “Slovenska plaza”, “Sveti Stefan”, and “Milocer” at the moment has in its property also hotels “Aleksandar”, “Palas”, “Kastel Lastva”, and it is expected that “Mogren” too will be returned to that HTE.
