Budva – Montenegrin tourist employers have prepared themselves well for the arrival of the so far biggest group of Austrian tourists – it was said after the three day official visit of the Montenegrin delegation to Austria.
With that visit they have arranged that during the pre – season in the following two years on Becici Riviera there will be totally 20.000 Austrian pensioners. The delegation, which stayed in Austria at the invitation of the Association of Austrian pensioner and tourist delegation “Senioren reisen”, was led by the Minister of tourism, Predrag Nenezic, and the Mayor of Budva, Rajko Kuljaca.
– Budva agency “Monteja Globe tour” has signed this year in May and exclusive contract with the tourist agency of the Association of the pensioners of Austria – “Seniroen reisen” with which it is foreseen that weekly 2.000 Austrian pensioners will come during the April and in the beginning of May of 2007. and 2008. In the realization of this project “Adriatic express” and “AMC communications” are also included which with “Monteja Globe tour” have formed a consortium of firms. The arrival of the first organized group at Tivat airport is expected to happen on the 4th of April, and the last group from Montenegro will be leaving on the 9th of May – it is pointed out in the announcement, which was signed by the chief of the cabinet of the Mayor, Danijela Marotic.
For the accommodation of the Austrian pensioners about 1.200 rooms in the six elite Becici Hotels – “Splendid”, “Montenegro”, “Mediteran”, “Tara”, “Iberostar”, “The Queen of Montenegro”, have been leased.
– Except the accommodation in the four and five star hotels, in the package arrangement the organization of the excursions and trips is also included. The Austrian pensioners during the three afternoon half day excursions and one whole day excursion will have the chance to meet natural beauties and culturally – historical treasure of Montenegro, and as a welcome note to every group there will be organized a culturally – entertaining performance. In order for the organization of the trip and the transfer of the passengers to be at a satisfying level, “Monteja Globe tour” has signed a contract with “Autosaobracaj” about the lease of their 45 buses. The Austrians will in the pre – season have about 140.000 overnight stays, and the total income of the tourist economy will be from 12 to 15 millions of euros – it is emphasized in the announcement.
