Podgorica – Tender for sale of two exclusive tourist complex in Montenegro – Jadran Perast and Villas Oliva, closes tomorrow when expires term for submitting offers.
As was told in Montenegro Government to “Vijesti”, 17 investors buy out tender documentation and it is expected the fiercest fight for buying of Montenegrin companies.
For Jadran Perast last to buy documentation was Singapore Banyan Tree who owns some twenty luxury hotels, villas and resorts in China, Thailand, Indonesia, Bahrain, Seychelles and at some other exotic places in the world. Banyan Tree is in world tourism large competition to Aman Resorts also from Singapore that with Government and Budvanska rivijera negotiate that hire Sveti Stefan for a long term.
For Perast tender documentation bought also American company Silverleaf Investment, Boka fund registered at Bahamas, Russian firm Sobenko, Pluto capital, Jadranski razvoj from Dubrovnik, Budva Imobilia, Montemlin Podgorica and German investor Mihael Brim.
Jadran Perast owns attractive palace Smakja built in the 18th century of 2500 m2, same size hall that was once industrial facility and some ten retail shops in Montenegro and Serbia. Investors will according model of privatization be obliged to reconstruct palace in high class hotel and advantage is that company employs some ten workers.
Villas Oliva are complex at Petrovac with 12 villas with 300 beds. Villas are located in a park fifty meters from the beach.
Experience in Montenegrin privatization tells that all companies that buy tender documentation do not send offers but in Government expect that in case of Jadran Perast and Villas Oliva there will be enough in order to find quality strategic investor.
