Budva – Judging by good results realized during top summer season and extremely good visit as coastal towns as centers at north of Republic, projections of Ministry of tourism that this year Montenegro will visit 900000 guests of which number 400000 foreign will be realized.
According words of PR of Ministry of tourism Jelena Paovic, thanks to contracts of tour operators with hotels it is expected trend of growth of nights and visit during September and October in respect to the same period of last year.
-Besides good booking of almost all hotels at coast, before all at Budva Riviera, extremely good season was at north of Republic. For instance, hotels at Zabljak were during all summer well visited and such booking is a record one in last 15 years – said Paovic.
Stressing that one of basic aims of Ministry is prolonging of season, Paovic stated that it will last at coast until end of year – till New Year Holidays.
-At Budva Riviera is renovated and built lots of hotels that in their offer have contents for development of congress tourism. It is a word on hotels with four and five stars that have modern spa and wellness centers and having in mind that these hotels will operate all year round it is obvious also prolonging of season – said Paovic.
She stressed that promotion of Montenegro at foreign markets continue and already first presentation will be at prestigious London fair in mid November.
-Also this year Ministry of tourism and tourist organization of Montenegro in cooperation with strategic partners will have good promotion at foreign markets. Besides standard fairs at Prague, Brussels, Berlin and Moscow, Montenegrin offer will be presented at the markets of Italy and Scandinavia – said Paovic.
She reminded that total income of tourism for first seven months was 123.6 million EUR that is one fifth more than in same period of last year.
In the first seven months number of tourists who visited Montenegro is one fourth larger in respect to last year and foreigners were a half more. Total number of nights until August was 2.8 million or 14.7% more than in same period of last year – concluded Paovic.
