Kolasin – As a part of the project of the Austrian – Montenegrin partnership of the tourist offers of Montenegro, especially its mountain areas, will be included in the tourist offer of the specialized tour – operators. The details of that project were arranged on a yesterday’s meeting in Kolasin.
– During the May of the next season a visit of 10 to 15 tour operators is planned, who would like to make sure in our potentials. They will be presented Montenegrin mountains and culturally – historical monuments – said the director of the Regional tourist organization in Kolasin Tatjana Drakula – Medenica.
Christian Baumgartner, the general director of the International association of the Friend of the nature and Jan Salcher the author and the writer of the guide for the mountains have attended the meeting.
They will, as Mednica has said, prepare the visit of Montenegro of the tour operators, and now they want to meet the people who are relevant for the development of tourism in this part of Montenegro.
The office of the Austrian – Montenegrin partnership in Kolasin will continue to work in the next three years because at the beginning of October an agreement was signed about the second phase of the project “Support to the sustainable regional and tourist development of the regions of Bjelasica and Komovi”.
The project represents the continuation of the cooperation of the Government of the Republic of Montenegro and Government of the Republic of Austria on a sustainable development of the area of Bjelasica and Komovi, as well as the National Park Biogradska gora.
The total value for the realization of the project is 2.313.000 euros of which the Austrian Government will provide the donation of 1.913.000 euros, while the Government of Montenegro, through the Ministry of environmental protection and interior adaptation and Ministry of tourism, will participate with 400.000 euros.
