Budva – Prime Minister Zeljko Sturanovic last night (15.06) has opened a new modern boulevard in Budva, whose construction was 3, 5 millions of euros.
With the culturally – entertaining program, in which folklore associations, city music of Budva and Kotor, as well as majorettes, took part in, in front of more than a thousand of citizens a termination of one of the greatest investments in the metropolis of tourism has been marked.
After cutting the cord and a great fireworks Prime Minister said tat Budva has a lot to show and to be proud of.
– Budva has hard-working and hospitable people who wish to put this town in line with the most famous summer resorts, elite tourist metropolises, famous fair and navigation destinations. Striving to achieve European visions of development and recognizing the need of fast construction and modernization of local and communal infrastructure Budva has approached to planning and construction of this boulevard. Our major tourist centers for already very long time needed this kind of traffic line – said Sturanovic. He added that the new boulevard is one of the most beautiful ones in the surrounding.
With the richness of natural localities and with maximal level of preservation and valorization of natural ambience Budva has all predispositions to develop as a modern tourist center. Wild beauty of this stony hills and a long pearly shore compose here, as rarely anywhere else in the world, a natural harmony, which with a well thought plan policy, give Budva a chance to become even more attractive, for both new clients and guests, and for those who always come back in Budva gladly – said Sturanovic.
With unveiling of the boulevard he added, the management of the Municipality in a best way has crowned the invested efforts.
Ministers for economic development, minister of tourism traffic, and finances, Branimir Gvozdenovic, Predrag Nenezic, Andrija Lompar, and Igor Lukssic attended the opening of the boulevard.
KULJACA: THERE WILL BE MORE MODERN ROADS
Thanking the citizens for the “extreme patience and understanding”, Mayor Rajko Kuljaca said that the construction of the boulevard is a “certain symbolic act in development of Budva”.
– Opening of the first Budva boulevard is just a beginning. The day when Budva will get a new modern highway and new traffic lines is not far away. The works will start in fall announced Kuljaca.
