Budva – Minister of internal affairs Jusuf Kalamperovic signed yesterday decision on opening of international border crossing in Port of Budva with which is opened for international maritime traffic.
Investor “MC Marina Budva” that is at the same time lessee of the port in adequate term finished building of modern terminal where beside office of future customs will be space intended to border police and floating unit of MUP as well as ports masters.
-Border crossing will be open during the season and will operate until necessary. Boats, yachts no longer have to float to Bar or Zelenika to make customs formalities but can come directly here to Budva. This is opportunity to also congratulate and thank all that with their efforts in these last months created conditions that today this crossing be open, before all, Municipality of Budva, “Morsko Dobro”, investor “MC Marina Budva” and department for maritime safety that secured roads, Port’s master and customs at Bar as well as MUP that in coordinated action created all conditions that from this side border crossing be open – said Kalamperovic.
Manager of “MC Marina Budva” Marko Skuletic said that building has 191 m2 and that in it there are Port’s master, custom, border police, duty free shop, café-bar and office of Marina.
-In the marina during last months was reconstructed electro system, umps and berths. We hope that we and town of Budva and all Montenegro will gain considerably and that we will enlarge our offer in nautical and passenger tourism for there are possibility for creating line Budva – Dubrovnik – Budva. All units are operational from today – said Skuletic.
