Budva – Budva represents the door of Montenegro in European union. Most people from EU, when they go back home, will base their impressions on their staying in Budva – said the Austrian ambassador Florian Rauning at the reception at the Mayor M.A. Rajko Kuljaca.
Rauning, who in Budva stayed during the manifestation that last May was organized by NGO “European movement in Montenegro” previously held to high school students of Secondary school “Danilo Kis” a lecture.
– In the area of Budva there are Austrian investments, which support schools for specialized education, especially in the area of tourism and hotel keeping. Majority of Austrian tourists, who come to Montenegro, spend their time in the area of Budva municipality, and that is actually the case with the majority of citizens of EU. I appreciate very much the work of the Municipality of Budva which strives to present Montenegro as better as possible. You work a lot, ad you invest a lot in the image of Budva. This is actually one of the most attractive communities in Montenegro – noted Rauning.
Reminding that Budva in previous years was included in the activity of marking of the Day of Europe, Kuljaca said that the local authorities will try, in the next three – four years, to make a town which they, their citizens and friends from EU want.
– We are planning to establish the cooperation with some of the Austrian towns. In the next three years the Municipality will terminate some 20 big investments. We will solve the problem of the road infrastructure and waste waters as well as of water supply in order for us to make all that is necessary to make Budva a really European town – said Kuljaca.
On the occasion of marking of the Day of Europe in Primaru school “Stefan Mitrov Ljubisa” activities “Greeting to Europe” and “Children paint Europe” have been organized.
