Gusinje – After the mountaineers from Montenegro and Serbia, their colleagues from Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Switzerland, and Slovenia are too interested to climb, in winter conditions, and win the highest peak of Montenegro – Zla kolata, at 2.532m of height above sea level. Mountaineers from Montenegro and Serbia have succeeded in that three years ago.
The leader of the Bulgarian expedition mountaineers alpine climbers from MSA “Akademik” from Sophia, Antonas Rolev, announced that in the middle of January he will try to win the highest peak of Montenegro.
– Mountain expedition of 14 members is ready and equipped with the most modern gear for winter conditions and it is made of experienced alpine climbers. We are counting that, if everything goes as planned, in two days we will climb in the highest peak of Montenegro – said Rolev.
The members of MSA “Maja karanfil” in Gusinje and the local people are warning the mountain climbers to think well about that campaign, because the snow period in January wills make their task difficult.
– Up there in January and in February there is a lot of snow, the paths go through the snow crags and ice cliffs, and avalanches are an everyday event – it is said from the Gusinje MSA “maja karanfil”.
