Herceg Novi – In Igalo yesterday a National holiday of Norway was celebrated in the honor of the guests from that country who are staying at the Institute. In that institute Norwegians have been coming organized for more than three decades, while their greatest state holiday in Igalo has been marked for already 20 years.
The host of the celebration was the Institute of Igalo, in front of whose Mediterranean health center, after the parade, an entertaining program was organized. In the procession through Igalo, at the head with Montenegrin and Norway flag, were the hosts and the guests, and members of CAA “Igalo”, children from the home “Mladost”, as well as local music Djenovici and majorettes.
At the terrace of the national restaurant of the Institute the program was thrown by the children from the Artistic center “As”, majorettes, and local music.
Guests, in the name of city authorities, were greeted by the secretary for social activities Radovan Bozovic, saying, among other things, that the friendship with the Norway towns Kristijansend and Levanger is being confirmed from day to day, and that people from Norway are seen in Herceg Novi as close friends and co-citizens.
– In the past 30 years a great friendship has been developed, and Norwegians have become our citizens. We are sincerely joyous to co-existence and exchange of information, knowledge and energies. In this way we intertwine the culture and tradition of two nations, from the north and from the south of Europe, the homeland to which we belong to – said the general director of the Institute Igalo PhD Branislav Radojicic, congratulating the guests on their holiday.
On the occasion of Norway national holiday, in gallery “Spa”” of the Institute of Igalo an exhibition of icons “Thanks to Norway” of the author, the academic painter, Vesko Perunovic, has been opened.
