Podgorica – Montenegro is this year’s top tourist destination in Europe, and can become a serious challenge to the neighboring Croatia; it was published in the Irish daily newspaper Belfast telegraph.
In its report about the novelties which tourists can expect this year, they are estimating that Montenegro will be visited by 75.000 Brits, with the note that in the next five years the goal is to boost it to 700.000
-Montenegro offers a lot of attractions on such a small space – the only fiord in South Europe, deep river canyons, 4 national parks, and a spectacular mountain range where skiing resorts are being developed – says the author of this report.
He recommends to the lovers of nature that they will find Byzantium monasteries and churches in Montenegro, as well as Venetian palaces in the “wild beauty’ of the Mediterranean.
In the next 10 months, the Irish daily says, there will be 10 new big hotels opened, while the widening of the airports in Podgorica and in Tivat attracts the low budget transporters, and one can already hear that “Ryan air” is “prying”.
Some other world top tourist destinations are also: Mozambique, Madagascar, Zanzibar, Mauritius, Seishells, and Turkey.
