Herceg Novi – Montenegro has got a first generation of 15 divers – instructors whose certificates are recognized by the World diving federation. Divers have been trained in the Center for underwater de-mining and training in Bijela where yesterday a press conference was held.
Veselin Mijajlovc, director of the Center in Bijela,, and Vladimir Milosevic, the president of Diving alliance of Montenegro, pointed out the significance of education of divers for Montenegrin tourism and they have announced the activities on the Law on diving which will enable Montenegrin divers to get work experience.
Milosevic said that the goal of taking the exam for the instructors and acquiring of the certificate is confirming of knowledge and valuing of domestic potentials in diving in Montenegro. He said that in 10 Montenegrin diving clubs there are about 1500 divers, and acquiring of the recognized title creates quality base in Diving alliance of Montenegro.
In Montenegrin hotels diving centers should be founded as a part of tourist offer, said Milosevic, while Mijajlovic said that each of these 15 instructors can train per year 150 new divers.
Mijajlovic pointed out the commercial importance of diving sport, because about 10.000 divers visit Montenegro per year. They leave at least 1.000 euros each, so in tourist offer we should include sport- recreation diving.
Monika Motlova from Czech Republic is the only woman among 14 men who together with Montenegrin colleagues got the title of the instructor in Bijela.
