Herceg Novi – In Herceg Novi municipality this year 1.000 leasers of private accommodation have been registered. For the most part that is the result of the campaign “Register your accommodation” which is organized by the Ministry of tourism in cooperation with Tax management, coastal ad municipalities of Zabljak and Kolasin – it was said yesterday on a round table in Herceg Novi.
The procedure of acquiring a working permit, said the secretary in the Ministry of tourism Zeljka Radak, has really been simplified. The leasers of private accommodation, she added, have to have a record of ownership and the usage license, that is a license for usage of electricity. After that they have to submit to tax administration a demand for approximate taxing.
The tax is paid just for the month in which the leaser of private accommodation is working, and it goes from 90 to 140 euros.
Year tax for leasers is less than the lowest fine for illegal work, which is from 500 to 5.000 euros.
– This year we will put an accent on control and finding of unregistered leasers of private accommodation – said the main republic tourist inspector Bozo Vucekovic.
According to estimates in Montenegro at the moment there are about 200.000 unregistered tourist beds, while solely 50.000 beds have been registered.
