PLAV LAKE IS EVERY DAY SMALLER
Plav – The time has come, that the priority of all priorities is the reclamation and the protection of the Plav Lake, the greatest tourist value of this area. The lake is more and more being endangered by the possibility of the alluvium of the mud and sand from the river torrents, which today can be seen with the bare eye – said for “Vijesti” yesterday the Mayor of Plav Skender Sarkinovic.
On the west side of the lake, not far from the eco – lodgment and the restaurant, several hundreds of square meters has turned into the sand alluvium, which has joined with the existing peninsula and separated the lake into two pieces.
– At the round table “Study about the proclamation of Prokeltije for a National park” held three days ago I have asked that the protection measures for this natural jewel to be taken. Also, in Pristina yesterday an international conference about the foundation of the Peace Park on the Balkans was held, where I have also appealed that the World organization for the protection of the nature aids the protection of this natural jewel – said yesterday Sarkinovic.
The director of the Bureau for the Protection of the nature of Montenegro MA Zlatko Buric, said that an emergent conveying of the idea about the reclamation and protection of the Plav lake is necessary, because that is one of the greatest natural pearls of Montenegro.
