Podgorica – Managements of the air companies “Montenegro airlines” and “Adria airways” have made an arrangement on a day before yesterday held meeting in Podgorica to increase the number of flights on the line Podgorica – Ljubljana.
Beside the three present rotations in one week which were made by Slovenian “Adria”, from the middle of December from Podgorica for Ljubljana once a week the fokkers of “Montenegro airlines” will be flying.
The director of “Adria airways” for Montenegro, Orhan Hodzic, said for “Vijesti” that in the winter schedule of flying the airplanes of the Slovenian company will as until now fly on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, while the Montenegrin air transporter will hold that line on Sunday. As he explained, at the meeting it was estimated that Sunday is one of the days when they can expect a great number of passengers. Hodzic pointed out that the increase of the number of flights between Montenegro and Slovenia came as a result of a greater interest of businessmen, tourists, but also other categories of passengers. He reminded that”Adria” recently got a permit from the Montenegrin Ministry of traffic to run their flights on a daily basis on the mentioned relation.
– However, considering the fact that “Montenegro airlines” has lost a significant share of the market from Belgrade to Zurich, and other charter lines, we have come to an idea to include the fokkers in the transfer of passengers between Montenegro and Slovenia – explained Hodzic, reminding that until now according to the contract about the “code – share” on line Podgorica – Ljubljana only “Adria” flew. The director of “Adria” for Montenegro has estimated that that company understands “the position in which Montenegro airlines, which has the planes of medium capacities, have found themselves”.
– According to the contract made the day before yesterday “Montenegro airlines” will have in Adria’s airplanes, “Regional jet” with capacities of 48 seats, per 15 leased seats. On the other hand, “Adria” will have in Montenegro airline’s fokker’s, which have 100 seats, 30 leased seats – said Hodzic pointing out the very good and professional cooperation of “Montenegro airlines” and “Adria airways”. He said that the partnership relation and cooperation of two companies will be broadened on other levels too.
