Budva – This year’s season has confirmed the estimates of tourist workers, that only the most quality offer has demand on European and world market which is evidenced by 100% fullness of elite hotels on Budva Riviera.
According to the words of the president of Montenegrin tourist association Branko Diki Kazanegra it has proved that good offer can stand a big price.
– That is an encouraging sign for all those who wish to invest. Practically the most quality goods is mostly demanded and if we had more luxurious hotels all of them would be completely full – stressed Kazanegra.
He said that there are a lot of guests and that at the moment mostly Russian tourists are staying.
– It is true that it is not good when a mono culture is being created, that is when guests from one market are dominant. It is better if we had a mix of guests from all countries. But already now we are expecting a wave of Italian guests, because their “feragosta” is about to come during which for 4 or 5 weeks the guests from our neighboring country across the Adriatic will come in large numbers – said Kazanegra.
According to his opinion gray economy is still being mentioned as a negative thing which as a cancer is eating our tourist product.
That the hotels are full testifies HTE Budva Riviera in whose hotels Slovenska plaza, Aleksandar in Budva, and Palas in Petrovac there are totally 3.000 guests.
According to the words of the PR manager of Budva Riviera Tijana Kotarac they have 80.000 overnight stays this year which has surpassed their plan.
– Good capacities we are expecting to have until the end of October, except the guests from the areas of Ex Yugoslavia we mostly have guests from Russia, Germany, Czech Republic, and Austria. Foreign guests make 80% of the total number of guests. Thanks to the contract with tour operator Prodin tour Palas in Petrovac is filled with French guests who for already second year in a row are staying in that hotel.
Prodin tour this year too is organizing polls with which it marks the quality of service, food, accommodation and kindness. Total mark for the last week was 93, 3% of satisfied guests – said Kotarac.
IN DUBROVNIK THEY ARE FORCED TO LOWER THEIR PRICES
That Montenegro has positioned itself as a competitive destination in the surrounding testifies the statement of the ex Minister for tourism of Croatia Pava Zupan Ruskovic. The text named “Extra of tourists from Montenegro are sleeping for cheep in Dubrovnik hotels” was published by business weekly Lida, and it was transmitted by Croatian portal www.webclipping.briefing.hr, and there they say that Dubrovnik is about to oface bad tourist days.
– Until several years ago an unconceivable scenario on the south of the Adriatic has become a sad reality. Hotels in Montenegro are full, so tourist employees are sending their guests to Dubrovnik hotels which cost 30 euros because of too much blowing prices out of proportion Dubrovnik marks fall in the number of overnight stays warns Leader.
Such a scenario is possible because Montenegro is becoming a very attractive destination while Dubrovnik is not doing well at the moment. Hotels which are not full and which have not published prices earlier in catalogues are lowering their prices and are attracting guests who for the price of staying in hotels with three stars are now staying in hotels with four or five stars. Such a situation leaves bitter taste in mouth and it is obvious that something is not functioning if the hotels in the middle of the season have to accept such conditions just not to be empty – says ex minister Zupan – ruskovic.
