Kotor – Seven sailing boats, five from Montenegro and two from Serbia started yesterday from Perast at international regatta Perast – Brindisi, 126 nautical miles long.
From Montenegro participate five sailing boats from Podgorica, Herceg Novi, Bar and Kotor.
From Kotor will compete the most successful sailing boat of Kotor club “Lahor”, “Mala ponta” is ten meters long with crew of five and skipper Nenad Franovic who is the most successful Montenegrin sailors.
One of members of crew of sailing boat “Mala ponta”, Mirko Franovic said that after this regatta all boats start in much stronger competition at 21st International regatta Brindisi – Corfu that sails on June 7.
-To the moment is announced 136 sailing boats from all countries and there will be even up to 150 – said Franovic. He reminded that last weekend “Mala ponta” at regatta Split – Komiza – Split was the best.
Kotor sailors participated last year at regatta Brindisi – Corfu with sailing boat “Nika” and skipper Franovic and in competition of 112 sailing boats arrived for 11 hours the first at finish of regatta and so beat record from previous year.
Sailing boats of JK “Lahor”, “Nika” and “Mala ponta” at regatta Perast – Brindisi, last year took the first two places.
