Zabljak – Ski terrains on Savin kuk have yesterday received first this season’s skiers, and about 150 funs of winter sports from Belgrade, Krusevac, Niksic, Podgorica, and all other areas of Montenegro, can brag with the fact that on the Balkans, and maybe even wider, they were the first to feel the allures of the skiing and snow boarding.
The hosts from the New ski center “Durmitor” have tried to prepare the last snow, which the sky only abundantly gave to Durmitor, in a good way, so those who yesterday found themselves in the leading Montenegrin ski center did not regret. Still, one can hear certain objections on the prices of the ski – pass and what it is being given for that money, with mandatory comparison with some of the elite centers.
The executive director in the New ski center “Durmitor”, Radovan Grbovic, said that they will apply the last year’s prices of ski – pass: daily 12, weekly 70, and the season ski – pass 300€.
Yesterday the funicular railway and the ski lift were in function, which in general opinion was enough for the beginning of the season, with praises for well prepared skiing paths. The beginning of the work of the ski path was welcomed by the group of 50 starters of the seminar of skiing teachers and trainers which is being organized by the national association of the skiing pedagogues – MASI, together with the colleagues from Slovenia, with the lecturer Ales Lavric, who is the member of the examination commission for alpine skiing and trainer of the skiing national team of Slovenia. First acquaintances with the winter sports, in the beginning from snow boarding, and as they said they will learn to ski too, had yesterday the students from London Marina Suvakov and Adriane Ward. Marina, by her parent’s origins from Vrbas, has already been in Zabljak, but during the summer, while for Adriane this was his first visit.
– We were drawn by curiosity and it happened that our plane with which we intended to go back had left without us. We weren’t distracted by the fog on the airport in London, but on the contrary we were kept here by this beauty. We had luck that after several days with fog the sun came out and opened the view towards these gorgeous areas which have impressed us – say Marina and Adrian, and they add that they are satisfied with the paths because they were well prepared and there are paths for everyone no matter their skiing skills.
For a talk with people from Njegusi, Dragan Cavor and Boro Perunovic, the culprit is five year old Katarina “the main persona” of the yesterday’s idyll on Durmitor. With them were Ksenija, Nikoleta, and Mirko.
– Every winter we are here, simply because it’s nice. Now we have a longer weekend, and on Christmas we are coming for 20 days. We went on Jahorina, and Kopaonik, and Bjelasica, but it is most beautiful on Durmitor. We decided to come yesterday morning knowing that there is snow, but on the road we bought some newspaper and were thrilled when we read the information that the skiing has also started – says in one voice the happy crowd from Njegusi.
Starting from today the city skiing path Javorovaca will be also in function. The prices on this skiing path, made for those who like recreation, and for the school of skiing, daily ski – pass for adults will cost 8, and the weekly 50 euros. For children one needs to separate 5, that is 30€, and for the ski – pass for the baby lift daily 3, and weekly 20€.
