Podgorica – In Montenegro at the moment there are more than 100.000 tourists, 46% more compared to the same period last year – said the manager of NTO Danica Ceranic.
According to the data, which NTO processed in cooperation with the local Tourist Organizations, there are 101.148 tourists staying in Montenegro, which is for 32.241 tourists more than at the same period last year.
– Just in Kotor, yesterday, there were 3.065 guests, which is 27% more compared to last year – said the associate in the local tourist organization of Kotor Dragana Vukadinovic.
– From totally 3.065 tourists, 145 of them are domestic, and 2.920 of them are foreign tourists – she said. Ceranic said that the service of the phone for complaints and praises 9817, in the organization of Montenegro tourists center, has noted during the past 7 days 162 calls.
– Of totally 162 calls, 143 were related to complaints to too loud music, garbage dumps and waste material, charging of the entrance and usage of beach equipment, while the praises, 19 of them, were related to well arranged swimming resorts, comfortable accommodation, and rich cultural and entertaining program – said Ceranic.
On Boka night, which begins tonight (18.08) in Kotor Tourist organization of Kotor and the organizers are expecting more than 40.000 visitors,
– This time we won’t organize the traditional concert, and the hoteliers will take care themselves for the music program, while in the defile in the bay we will have 40 barges competing. Fund for the winner will be 1.000 euros, the second place will get 700 euros while the third place will win 500 euros – said Vukadinovic saying that this year visitors will be able to see Boka night over a video beam, which is 60 square meters big which will be placed in the middle of the bay.
