Podgorica – Government in negotiations on sale of Tivat shipyard Arsenal is much more concentrated on scale, structure and dynamics of investments than in purchase price, said yesterday Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic.
The reminded that government did not doubted rights of employees and municipality of Tivat to receive part of money acquired for property of Arsenal.
Company PM Securities, owned by Canadian investor Peter Mank offered for property of Arsenal 3.26 million EUR, around 26 million for social program and emergent ecological investments as investments of minimum of 106 million. Union of Arsenal asks that purchase price be at least 80 million EUR.
At the beginning Mank offered to workers for social program six million EUR and later that amount was risen to 15 million.
-I do not expect disturbances from social sphere and that would insure us to focus to development of that project – said Djukanovic at press conference.
-I am optimistic that we will solve questions in process of negotiations and that Montenegro will soon get the most modern marina for mega yachts. For us it is the most important to position investment project although we devoted a lot of attention to question of purchase price – said Djukanovic.
Mank plans to turn military shipyard into a marina for mega yacht and to built hotel complexes at near locations, golf course, galleries, boutiques, museum and medical center. Djukanovic yesterday met group of investors and businessmen that are ex Canadian Prime Minister Brayan Malruni, Mank, Lord Jacob Rotchild senior and Lord Nataniel Rotchild junior. He said that he is extremely content that Montenegro has such friends.
