Podgorica – Out of all estimates and expectations already until 2011 tunnel Sozina will have the income of 73, 5 millions of euros, which is approximately the amount which was invested in the construction of the most modern Montenegrin traffic road.
Director of Montenegroput Ratko Ivanovic expects that until 2015, which is the time which with the feasibility study they determined as the year when Sozina will get back all the funds which were invested, they will have the income of about 200 millions of euros.
Ivanovic bases his optimism on the fact that they have note the year increase of vehicles of 25%, while the total sum of the charged toll has been increased for 35%.
Such a growth will be continued for 2 – 3 years. After that we expect the year growth of about 20% so it is realistic to expect the income of 200 millions of euros for 10 years – said Ivanovic yesterday for Vijesti and pointed out that before the construction of the tunnel no one could imagine that the income would be such.
In the construction of the tunnel and the approaching traffic lines they have invested 74 millions of euros, of which 24 millions were provided with the credit of the European investment bank with 7 year grace period and the term for amortization of 25 years. Sozina was opened on July 13th 2005. According to official data from July 15th 2005 until July 14th 2006 1.626.797 vehicles went through Sozina, and they charged the toll in the amount of 5.514.111 euros. One year later we have registered 2.038.048 passages through the tunnel (25, 28% more) and the income was 7.424.382 euros which the increase of 34,64%.
Ivanovic pointed out that with the financial plan for 2007 which is about to be adopted by Montenegrin Government, they expect the profit of 1, 6 millions of euros from Sozina.
– For the wages and immediate material expenses we have given 1.235.000 euros, 1, 2 millions for maintenance of the tunnel and the traffic lines in which we have included the removal of the faults which were found by the commission of the Ministry for economic development. 1, 1 million we have paid in as the interest rate for the credit, which we got from the European investment bank. For financing of the program of the Ministry of traffic we have given 600.000 euros, and we have given 995.000 for documentation for the bridge Verige and the so-called fast traffic road on the coast – explained Ivanovic.
For September he announced he reconstruction of the road from Virpazar to the turning point towards the tunnel Sozina, as well as the pain project of the round about in Golubovci.
Ivanovic pointed out that Sozina until the end of the year will get the usage permit because, as he said, they have removed all the faults which the commission of the Ministry for economic development has found, except the slope from the viaduct Bistrica to the tunnel.
BIRDGE VERIGE TO BUILD FROM THEIR OWN SOURCES
Ivanovic pointed out that Sozina is highly profitable in economic sense, so Monteput can build by itself bridge Verige near Kotor.
– I think that the best option is for us to get the credit by ourselves and to build which means that we are not opened for other arrangements. Anyway, we can build Verige from our own sources. Income from Verige will be bigger than from the tunnel Sozina so it would be realistic to built the first fast traffic line on the coast – claims Ivanovic.
He said that Montenegrin Government should make the possible decision about the construction of the bridge.
– Technical documentation for Verige is ready. We need the decision of the Government and the agreement with the local administration. We have seen this summer that the construction of the bridge would be significant for Boka and the entire coast – said Ivanovic, noting that Verige could be finished in three and a half years from the moment of the beginning of the construction.
