Podgorica – Italian families Gorgoni and Montinari together with several other firms from that country, including Cerere from Trieste have enlarged the owner’s share in Hipotekarna bank on about 80%. Yesterday on Nex stock market, on the last working day of the year 2006, Italians have bought around 16% of stock shares for 3, 37 millions of euros or 800 euros per stock share, which is about 60% more from the nominal price.
The greatest part of those stock shares, about 11%, was sold by Atlas Mont fund. Yesterday at the auction Italians have bought 21 stock shares of Hipotekarna bank, which were the ownership of the government. After bidding with another investor from abroad, the price for 21 stock shares was 37.821 euro or 1.801 per stock share which is a record price. This stock shares can be paid with bonds of the old foreign currency savings.
Gorgoni, Montinari, and the firm Cerere have else bought a year ago the majority package of the stock shares of Hipotekarna bank for about 4, 6 millions of euros. Among other things they are the major owners of the Croatian Podravska bank which will be the strategic partner of Hipotekarna bank. Italians have also about 30% of the stock shares of Atlasmont bank. Since the arrival of the new owners, as it was said from Hipotekarna bank, they have gained back the confidence from the clients, and the amount of deposits for a year has increased more than double, on about 20 millions of euros with the further trend of growing.
