Ulcinj – The bankruptcy director of the “Ulcinj Riviera” Miomir Jaksic said that that enterprise has never been better prepared for the awaiting of the winter season.
By announcing a great promotional campaign of the winter tourist offer all over the region, he expressed the expectation that the season will be more successful that the previous two seasons.
Hotel “Olimpik” which has 252 rooms with TV’s and mini bars is completely ready for the season. Central heating is in function, and 50% of the rooms have air conditioning. There is a congress hall, and two dining halls, indoor pool, and two saunas, and in the scope of the hotel there are also 5 football stadiums in an extremely good shape, and athlete path, runaway for the long jump, terrains for put shot, 8 tennis terrains and terrains for little sports as well as the gym which has the most modern equipment. We believe that we have created the ideal conditions for the preparation of our athletes, who beside Ulcinj and Velika plaza now do need some Turkey or Malta – said Jaksic on a yesterday’s press conference. He stressed that soon with his coworkers he will visit all the countries in the region and present the winter offer of the “Ulcinj Riviera”.
– A more powerful campaign we will start next week when in Podgorica an International business fair will be held. After Podgorica, we are going to Serbia, and then Albania and Kosovo – said Jaksic, adding that the “Olimpik” will be probably opened on the 3rd of January, when we are expecting the arrival of sports teams from the neighboring Albania.
– Despite the small investments in the hotel, I have decided to leave the prices at the last year level. That means that all inclusive for the football players, including two trainings, using the pool and the gym will cost 24 euros a day. For the athletes and other sportsmen, that price will be 20 euros. With such prices we wish to give our contribution to the development of sport here and in the region, considering the fact that the majority of the clubs is not well with the finances – pointed out Jaksic. He thinks that the lack of the sport hall makes the winter offer of Ulcinj incompetent.
– It is hard to expect that we can bring to Ulcinj basketball players, handball players or volley ball players, if we are familiar that they need the sport hall. I am sure that with the construction of such a facility the winter offer of Ulcinj would be 50% greater. I think that the obligation of the state is to build a hall in Ulcinj, as well as in all other towns. With that we would all benefit – said Jaksic.
