Tivat – Among six swimming resorts which will be presented at the international conference “Beaches of the world 2007” which is being held from 9th until 11th October in Toronto Canada there is one beach from Montenegro, and that is swimming resort Kalardovo near Tivat.
That was told to the press yesterday by the national coordinator of the campaign Blue Flag in Montenegro Sasa Karajovic.
That conference has for its goal to promote the best practice in arrangement and exploitation of the beaches and to respond to challenges related to sustainable development, protection of the eco system, loss of bio diversity and other problems with which the beaches and the coastal areas in the world are facing. It represents a certain continuation of the international campaign Blue Flag that this year is being carried out in more than 3.200 beaches and marinas in 37 countries of the world.
At the conference in Canada which will gather about 30 experts who deal with the problems related to arrangement, usage and protection of the coastal region in the entire world experiences from 20 swimming resorts will be presented among which there are 6 beaches which have been most successful in implementation of the standards of the Blue Flag. Those are swimming resorts Konyaati from Turkey, Broughty ferry beach from Scotland, Essaouira from Morocco, Blue lagoon from Island, Praia mole from Brazil, and Kalardoovo from Montenegro.
