Podgorica – The model of stock bond privatization in Montenegro did not predict investments nor the social program, and we in HTE “Onogost” have done one and the other – said for “Vijesti” Lav Lajovic the director of this enterprise when he was asked to comment on the notes from the Ministry of tourism that the investments in hotel firms which were privatizes through mass stock bond privatization are slowly being carried out.
Majority of directors of enterprises and funds, owners of the hotels have said that they do not wish to argue with Minister Predrag Nenezic about the dynamics of investing and raising of the level of quality, but they have explained that they are not sitting tight.
Minister Nenezic noted that the investments in hotel – tourist enterprises whose stocks have been shared through mass stock bond privatization are being carried out slowly.
As the examples for that Nenezic among other things mentioned the enterprises HTE “Albatros” from Ulcinj, HTE “Primorje” from Tivat, “Cetinjetours” from Cetinje, HTE “Onogost”, “Plav lake” from Plav, and HTE “Fjord” from Kotor.
HLT fund is the owner of the HTE “Primorje” and HTE “Onogost. Eurofund owns “Cetinjetours”.
Lajovic pointed out that from September until today, for the up coming tourist season they have invested in hotels “Onogost”, “Niksic”, and “Teuta” almost 400.000 euros.
He mentioned that the owner with the purchase of the stocks has inherited dubiousness and problems in the enterprise, that is, that it was not a space purchase of real estates for stock bonds.
Lajovic stressed that they have managed to unblock the account of HTE “Onogost” and to save it from bankruptcy.
– We are in the procedure of repairing and restructuring of the enterprise. In “Onogost” we has the extra employees and almost 3,5 millions of euros of obligations. In the past period, of 250 workers we have taken care of 90 of them who are a technological suffice. In the meantime, we have adapted the hotel “Niksic” in Sutomore which should be categorized with three stars, and immediately after the season the project documentation will be prepared for its further reconstruction. The plan is that after that, in 2009 we start reconstructing also Risan hotel “Teuta” – said Lajovic.
He said that last year they had the growth of turnover of 33%, and this year they are planning the growth of 35% compared to last year,
The executive director of HTE “Primorje” Tivat Predrag Jelusic expressed his wonder with the fact that the Ministry of tourism beside other, has called up that enterprise in the context of alleged non- -investing in the improving of the capacities.
– “Primorje” for years has noted a constant growth of turnover, and this year we will have totally 120.000 overnight stays, for 1/5 more than last year. It is not logic that someone who allegedly is not investing in its facilities, from year to year notes the growth of turnover and that at the same time it is a strategic partner of the Ministry of tourism and Tourist organization of Montenegro. “Primorje” was that last year, and we will be this year too – said Jelusic.
He added that that enterprise in which the major package of stocks control HLT fund and company “Eurocem” has bought the hotel “Planinka” on Zabljak in which they have invested 2 millions of euros, and recently in consortium with HLT they have bought the facility of the Center for rest and recreation “Igalo” in Herceg Novi.
Director of Eurofund Boisa Sotra said for “Vijesti” that they have restored he entire roof of Cetinje hotel “Grand”, the system of heating and ventilation, and that they have equipped the rooms with new furniture. Hotel “Grand” functions as a part of the enterprise “Cetinjetours” from Cetinje. HTE “Fjord” from Eurofund bought the firm Alfa invest which is the ownership of businessman Veselin Barovic.
Sotra said that already for half a year Kotor hotel “Varadar” has been renewed and that it will be opened in July this year.

“PRIMORJE” IS BUYING LAND AND IS PLANNING TO BUILD A HOTEL
HTE “Primorje”, as Jelusic says, has among other things, with giving back of the debts to the state got back in its property also hotel “Tivat”.
– In the purchase of totally 20.000 square meters of land near the facility in the immediate vicinity of hotel “Palma” so far we have invested about 3 millions of euros and we are planning to take a credit of 15 millions of euros which will be used for similar purposes – said Jelusic adding that in the complex “Plavi horizonti” an entirely new hotel with 5 stars will be made, and the existing facilities in Tivat will be modernized.
