Switzerland company Jupiter Adria AG and Atlas Group have bought up the open competition documentation for the Center of military – medicine institutions Meljine – found out “Vijesti”.
The Open competition for the attractive military – hospital complex in Herceg Novi is closing on the 28th of May, and the interest is significantly larger that on a previous open competition when an unknown company Vilfor, allegedly with the Swedish money, was almost chosen as a buyer, but because of the collapse of SM the deal was off.
Behind Jupite Adria, according to the information of “Vijesti” stands PhD Milovan Bojic, a controversial person from the Serbian public scene.
Bojic former vice-president of the Government of Serbia, JUL and minister of health has a modern Belgrade clinic Ostrog that is shaken up by the affair because of the tax fraud.
“Vijesti” found out that Bojic in this business has very strong logistics in Montenegro. As his partner, in well-informed circles, Svetozar Marovic is mentioned, the vice-president of DPS and one of the most influential man in the state.
Marovic publicly said that he is planning to be in business and that exactly with business partners he is terminating the activities on preparation of the forming of International Mediterranean group which, among other things, would be dealing with health services “of the opening of the most modern diagnostic center in Budva and in Montenegro”.
Company Jupiter Adria which has bought up the open competition documentation for HTE “Boka”, but which has withdrawn from competition is registered in Switzerland.
Jupiter Adria, based on the accessible data, is in the ownership of the firm Jupiter International PLC from Bermudas.
Milovan Bojic often uses Switzerland for his financial combinations. In that country at one point his account was blocked, and he was also forbidden to enter in the countries of the European Union, as one of the person non – grata from Milosevic’s regime. This doctor, born in Kolasin, in Serbia is linked with many doubtful million deals in health.
Complex in Meljine, for which Atlas group too is interested on whose head in businessman Dusko Knezevic has about 55.000 square meters of land, and 19 facilities with the surface of 23.000 square meters.
Knezevic, according to the information of “Vijesti” would invest in complex Meljine together with the partners from Arab Emirates.
The first men of Atlas group, recently, together with the former Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic, in the visit to Montenegro have brought the Arab investors.
According to the earlier estimates, Meljine with the rehab center, birth delivery, surgery, and intern wards, Institute for maritime medicine with several cabinets, laboratory, Center for transfusion, and villa “Lovcenka” are worth about 100 millions of euros. Swedish company Vilfor on a previous open competition has offered 40 millions but it wasn’t familiar precisely whether that amount was for the investments or for the purchase. According to the reliable information of “Vijesti” behind Vilfor stand also domestic people.
General colonel Ljubodrag Djurovic, the director of the Military hospital in Meljine, confirmed yesterday for “Vijesti” that the interest of the potential buyers is much bigger than on a previous attempt of sale, even though the conditions have been significantly stricken.
Potential buyer will have too hold on to the basic term, and that is the continuation of the health work along with maintenance of the existing number of employees.
The offers, as it is said in the open competition terms which were issued by the Ministry of Finances, will be accepted if the investor submits the evidences that he is at least 10 years in the health work, and that he has a year turnover of at least 50 millions of euros in the last three years.
Jupiter Adria, and Atlas group, according to available information, are not in health business, so it will be interesting to see whether and in which form will they submit their offers.
The representatives of Arab and investors recently visited the complex in Meljine from Great Britain.
