Kotor – Yesterday through Kotor about 100 motorbike riders went through, members of various European organizations and movements among whom were two Parliament members of EU and three members of German parliament.
The caravan is being held under the patronage of German counselor Angela Merkel, Prime Ministers of Croatia Ivo Sanader, and of Albania Salji Berisa.
Motorbike caravan is being held for already fifth year, and this is the second time that it is going through Montenegro.
A group of about 50 participants of this caravan were awaited in Kotor with a strong rain, so they didn’t stay much in the ancient town, and the planned visit to Lovcen was canceled, while the other group of motorbike riders by mistake went off to Budva.
Vice president of the Parliament Rifat Rastoder greeted the participants of the caravan in Kotor.
– We see your visit as a confirmation of your will to lob for Montenegro in your parliament and in other European associations, for it to to become formally and legally a jewel as it naturally really is – said Rastoder, who introduced guests with the natural beauties of Montenegro.
Vice president of the European organization of motorbike riders “Euro biker” Herman Munce said that they are glad that after their second coming they see that things are getting better here, and that they are surprised to see such a beautiful state.
Caravan started of four days ago from Germany, they went through Croatia, Italy, and after Montenegro they are going to Albania where they will give charity to hospitals in Skoddar and Tirana.
– In Tirana we will have a meeting with the Prime Minister Berisa and Albanian officials, and there will be also held a big motorcycle festival – said Munce.
He explained that the purpose of the travel is to meet as better as possible the organizations, movements, and new states, and the main mission is giving charity and aid in poor countries. Participants of the caravan last night stayed in Ulcinj, where from they will leave for Albania.
