Budva – Municipality Budva will manage to collect million of euros this year, from the residence tax, the amount which was foreseen by the local budget for this year.
The great number of unregistered private accommodation, however, still is a problem, which largely diminishes the profit that could have been achieved.
The mayor Rajko Kuljaca earlier said that he expects that million of euros from the residence tax will be charged, which is for 1/3 more than it was last year.
By reminding that for the charging of the tax Bureau for economy and finances is in charge, the Director of the Budva Tourist organization Tanja Kazanegra said that still she doesn’t have the precise data of the income from the residence tax.
-At the end of month we will have that information. I hope that the million of euros will be charged from the residence tax, as president Kuljaca announced – said Kazanegra.
The problem is, she points out, the great number of unregistered accommodation, where by the law, there is no possibility of charging the residence tax.
