Podgorica – As a part of the project “Support to the development of tourism in the continental part of Montenegro” which is being conducted by the German organization for technical cooperation (GTZ), Montenegrin delegation last week stayed in Germany and they visited the International tourism market in Berlin and toured the natural park Schwarzwald.
The representative of GTZ Stanislava Pavlovic said that the goal of the study journey is the increase of the income and employment in tourism on Prokletije, In Plav, Gusinje, Cetinje, and Skadar Lake.
10 members of the Montenegrin delegation were the representatives of the Municipality Plav. Tourist organizations of Bar, Cetinje, and Danilovgrad, representatives of National parks Skadar Lake , and Lovcen, representatives of the Center for visitors, Bureau for protection of environment, Mountain association of Montenegro, as well as the representatives of private sector – association of wine and vineyard growers.
– The goal of the visit to the tourist market was making of direct contacts with German tourist associations and tour operators. All the participants on the fair had intensive meetings on which they have presented the region and the institution from which they are coming. The visit to Schwarzwald allowed getting acquainted with the methods of management of that national park, which is protected are in the southeast of Germany. They have also presented the ways of development of new tourist natural attractions such as walking, biking, and climbing – said Pavlovic. She pointed out that that segment was noted as particularly interesting because in parks Skadar Lake and Lovcen with the support of GTZ the marking of walking paths and marking with the GPS system is in progress.
– It is agreed that the management of the natural park Schwarzwald in September will visit Montenegro in return when the concrete forms of cooperation will be discussed – said Pavlovic.
